Narrative
KJ and Dan struggle to communicate. Years into a strained relationship, the couple take a weekend trip to a friend’s cabin to rekindle their love… only to find a dying, but not quite dead, mouse stuck in a glue trap. They disagree on how to handle it, with KJ advocating for a quick death while Dan proposes making the mouse’s final moments as pleasant as possible. The couple compromises and moves on, slowly finding their way back to each other in this idyllic setting. Unfortunately, their peace is shattered by the arrival of a small woman who can only be charitably described as “eccentric” – she’s their host’s younger sister, and had no idea anyone was staying at the family cabin. No problem if it collapses, right? As the couple struggles to juggle this intruder on top of their already tense dynamic, KJ and Dan begin to worry that this obnoxious third wheel could threaten more than just their relationship…
